President's Message

Hi Ardenwood Families,

We hope you enjoyed your weekend! Thank you to all the families who joined our 1st virtual Back to School night PTA presentation last week to learn more about what PTA does for Ardenwood and your student! If you missed it, you can always learn why to join Ardenwood PTA.

Encourage your class parents to join PTA today!

We would love you to share why to join PTA with your student's classmates this week. Although we are starting the new school year virtually, please consider joining PTA this year to help support PTA sponsor socially distanced learning programs and virtual activities such as virtual story hour, couch to 5k and virtual STEM projects.

Instructions on How to join PTA virtually

If you ordered a yearbook last school year, you can pick up next week at Deep Creek Park, located at 33850 Emilia Lane (behind Ardenwood Elementary School), Fremont, CA 94555 after signing up your selected time.

PTA is encouraging parents/guardians to pick up for other families as long as they designate on the sign up genius which student's yearbook(s) are being picked up so PTA can accurately track yearbook pickups. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing during pickup.

Chalk the Walk

Join PTA's September Virtual Activity - Chalk the Walk!

Here's how to participate:

Use one or more of Ardenwood's Eight Great Traits to draw or write encouraging and positive messages and drawings on your driveway or sidewalk with chalk.
Submit your Chalk Walk photos via email by Friday , September 25, 2020 to ptapresident@ardenwoodschool.org
Three randomly selected participating students per grade level will win Ardenwood spiritwear!
For a list of Ardenwood’s Eight Great Traits, visit: https://ardenwood-fusd-ca.schoolloop.com/8greattraits. All submitted photos should be of artwork ONLY (no children in photos). All photos will be compiled into a slide show and shared on Facebook and Membership Toolkit. Submitting a photo gives consent for us to post artwork on these platforms. If weather doesn’t permit outside drawings, students may draw a picture on paper instead.
All entries must be submitted on or before Friday, September 25, 2020.

Reflections - October PTA Activity

2019-2020 Yearbook Pickup

Science Volunteers Needed

Dr. Hawkins is looking for parents interested in potentially helping her put together materials for distribution to science students at some point during the school year. If you are willing to help Dr. Hawkins come on campus and get materials together to be distributed for a hands-on project mid-year, please sign up here.
