Gallop into the Year of the Horse!
Ardenwood PTA is proud to bring you our 2nd annual Lunar New Year Celebration. Please join us on Friday, February 20, from 5–7 PM in the Ardenwood MPR for an exciting evening filled with kung fu performances, crafts, calligraphy, traditional games, riddles, and a special appearance from Ardie!

This event is a cultural celebration, and is open to all of the Ardenwood community. There is no fee to attend, however, we kindly ask for donations to cover the extra costs that go into fully bringing this event to life.

🧧 Each Child Will Receive
Each child will receive a red envelope at the entrance at check-in.
Inside the red envelope, you’ll find an inflatable headband and a raffle ticket—be sure to hold onto it! We'll be raffling several prizes to attendees.
🥋 Special Performance at 6:15 PM
Don’t miss a martial arts demonstration at 6:15 PM by students and teachers from Legend Kung Fu Academy. It’s sure to be a highlight of the evening!
🎨 Activities & Fun
We’ll have a variety of hands-on activities and traditional games, including:
- Calligraphy
- Paper dragon making
- Pipecleaner crafts
- Riddles
- Touhu (pitch-pot game)
- Chopsticks challenge
- Chinese yo-yo
- Jianzi ("featherball")
- ...and plenty of photo opportunities, so you're encouraged to wear your traditional outfits, if you have any
🍊 Food & Drinks
Light snacks and drinks ($1-2) will be available for purchase.
